HIROTEC AMERICA Honored by General Motors as a 2010 Supplier of the Year
Auburn Hills, MI., March 24, 2011 – HIROTEC AMERICA, Inc., a member of HIROTEC Group, announced today that it is the proud recipient of the 2010 General Motors’ Supplier of the Year Award. Katsu Uno, HIROTEC AMERICA’s Chairman and CEO, accepted the award during a presentation held on March 10th at the GM Renaissance Center in Detroit, Michigan.
This award honors businesses with stellar achievement in four main areas: innovative technology, superior quality, outstanding launch support, and competitive total enterprise cost solutions. “We believe the Supplier of the Year Award is a top honor in the industry,” said Bob Socia, GM vice president, Global Purchasing and Supply Chain. “These suppliers are a critical part of our effort to design, build and sell the world’s best vehicles.”
The GM Supplier of the Year award began as a global program in 1992 to recognize the significant contributions of GM suppliers. This year, General Motors honored 82 out of thousands of suppliers for their noted excellence throughout 2010.
