HIROTEC AMERICA Honored by General Motors as a 2004 Supplier of the Year
Auburn Hills, MI., April, 2005 – TESCO Engineering, was named as a General Motors Supplier of the Year for its overall business performance in providing GM with world-class parts and services. The award was given during ceremonies on Saturday, April 23, at the General Motors Vehicle Engineering Center in Warren, Michigan.
“Our Supplier of the Year winners are the Best of the Best and TESCO Engineering is part of this elite group based on their outstanding performance in 2004,” said Bo Andersson, Vice President, GM Global Purchasing and Supply Chain. “Its balanced focus on performance and behavior support GM’s priorities and make it a role model for suppliers worldwide.”
TESCO Engineering provides innovative and world class automotive hemming and manufacturing systems, specializing in body closure panels such as doors, hoods, liftgates and decklids. “TESCO Engineering’s initiative is to continue to be the industry leader in providing high quality and low cost closure hemming and manufacturing systems.” said Jim Toeniskoetter, TESCO Engineering’s President.
The GM Supplier of the Year award began as a global program in 1992. Winners are selected by a global team of executives from purchasing, engineering, manufacturing and logistics who base their decisions on supplier performance in quality, service, technology and price. This year, General Motors honored 78 suppliers for their excellence throughout 2004.
TESCO Engineering and its sister company, Aventec in Mexico, are proud to be 2004 General Motors Suppliers of the Year. Both companies have been elected this honor for the third time in four years. TESCO Engineering’s Chairman and CEO, Mr. Norifumi Uno stated, “This is a proud accomplishment for HIROTEC Worldwide Group Companies.
